Good morning. Meta launched Meta One, a subscription that puts its AI image and video tools behind a monthly paywall inside Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp. DaVinci Resolve added AI assistants so you can tell Claude or ChatGPT to handle the boring parts of your edit. And "if men dressed better" restyle videos are all over the feed, turning regular fits into sharp ones with AI. Would you pay Meta a subscription for AI in the apps you already use? Hit reply and let me know! Let's get into it.

Meta just put its best AI behind a paywall 💸

Meta launched Meta One, a set of subscription plans that bundle its AI tools with premium features across Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp. Consumer plans start at $7.99 a month for Core and $19.99 for Premium, and regular Meta AI stays free, so this is really about paying for the heavy stuff.

What you're paying for is more use of Muse Image and Muse Video, Meta's own image and video models, plus in-app tools like Restyle on Instagram and voice effects. Basically the AI generation integrated right into the apps you post to, with higher limits the more you pay. There are business and creator tiers on top of that, running all the way up to a $499 Max plan with analytics and a business agent.

Meta spent $14 billion getting into AI and now it's turning that into a monthly bill, and creators are the obvious target. If you actively create content on Instagram, the Restyle and Muse Video access might be worth the eight bucks. If you already pay for a standalone video tool, this is mostly Meta trying to keep you from leaving the app.

DaVinci Resolve Will Now Let AI Do The Boring Edits

Blackmagic dropped DaVinci Resolve 21.1, where you can now connect an AI assistant like Claude or ChatGPT and just tell it what to do. For those unfamiliar, Davinci is an editing software like Capcut and Premier Pro. You can now ask their AI to pull highlights out of a long recording, cut the clips you don't want, or organize your media, all in plain language instead of clicking through menus.

Why it matters is that a ton of creators already edit in Resolve, so this drops a conversational assistant straight into a tool you probably already use. It's assistive, not generative, meaning it handles the tedious grunt work and doesn't make creative calls or generate footage for you. Blackmagic was pretty deliberate about keeping it in that lane.

The AI part lives in Resolve Studio, the paid version, which is a one-time fee and not part of their standard download. And since it can reach into your actual project and move things around, run it on a throwaway copy first before you point it at a huge project.

"If Men Dressed Better" Is The Latest AI Restyle Trend

The latest AI trend taking over the feed is the style glow-up. You take a clip of a regular person in a forgettable outfit, cargo shorts, a graphic tee, running shoes, and AI restyles them into a sharp fit, think tailored trousers, a clean polo, loafers, with the caption "if men dressed better."

The before-and-after format does particularly well for these videos. Everyone has an opinion on how people dress, and the fits are aspirational enough that people save them and send them to a friend who could use the hint. Menswear accounts are eating with this one.

Here's the short how-to. Grab a clean before shot, restyle it with something like Google Gemini or Meta's new Restyle, then use an image-to-video tool to morph the before into the after so it plays as one smooth transition. Pick a niche like menswear, streetwear, or workwear, and keep the format identical every time so it becomes your thing. Consistency is what turns one restyle into a followed page.
