Photoshop just added a whole AI beginner mode 🎨

Instagram rolled out a tool that auto cuts your Reels into a rough draft, and despite what everyone assumed, it's not actually AI. Adobe just rolled out Photoshop 27.10 with a new AI Assisted Editor, a simplified mode that sits right next to the normal, intimidating Photoshop. Turn it on and the hundred-button interface collapses into a clean, prompt-based one where you just type what you want. "Remove the background," "expand this image wider," "upscale it," and it runs the right tool for you. There's also a "Prompt to edit" option now living in the regular Photoshop taskbar for people who want to stay in the full version.

Under the hood it's wiring plain language commands to tools Photoshop already had, Generative Fill, Generative Expand, Remove Background, and picking the right one based on what you asked. Your work stays non destructive, so switching between the simple mode and the full one doesn't wreck your layers, edits come back as their own layer.

The reason this matters is who Photoshop is suddenly for. For years it was the tool you shrugged off because the learning curve was steep. A mode where you describe the edit instead of mastering masking and layers means you can actually get pro level results without the years of practice. Instagram rolled out a feature called First Draft that takes a pile of your raw clips and automatically assembles them into a rough cut in under 10 seconds. Instagram says First Draft is automated editing not AI, cutting and trimming on rules, not a model reimagining anything. It won't restructure your story, pick your best idea, or make creative calls. It does the boring mechanical trimming and stops there, which is the part most people hate anyway.

The bigger picture is Instagram pulling editing inside its own app so you never leave. Tools like CapCut and Adobe's Quick Cuts already auto-cut footage, but building it into Instagram means less reason to export anywhere else. Use the time it saves on the stuff that actually moves the needle: your hook, your pacing, your first three seconds. Let it handle the cuts and trimming, spend the saved minutes on the part that makes people stay.

The latest AI video trend is house cats as professional wrestlers. Cats in tiny UFC octagons and WWE rings, throwing suplexes, doing dramatic takedowns with actual human fighters. One example account, oscar_beingoscar, has a chunky white cat named Oscar fighting against pro wrestlers and racking up hundreds of thousands of likes per clip.

It works because it combines two things the internet already can't resist: cats and combat sports. The absurdity of a Persian cat hitting a perfect grappling move stops your thumb, and the AI is now good enough at fur, motion, and physics that it looks almost real, which is exactly the sweet spot. This video got 18 million views.

Here’s the playbook they use. Pick two things people love that don't belong together, cats plus WWE, and combine them using AI. The winners in this niche are building a recurring cat with a name and a persona people come back for. Tools like Seedance and Veo handle the wrestling motion, an AI voice adds the commentary, and consistency is what turns a funny clip into a followed account.
